While we are all preparing for our private Thanksgiving Holiday, we wish to take the time to express our gratitude to our friends and supporters. Here at OCCTAC we already celebrated on October 29, 2009 with our annual COMMUNITY PARTNERS CELEBRATION! Many of our supporters came to the center to see the kids and teachers in action. We were very happy to show our appreciation with gifts of student art work and by saying "Thank You"! "Creating the sugar skulls and art work is always a wonderful experience for our students" exclaims our visual art director Kathryn Forrest. Kathryn and Irene Arellano organized our annual contribution to the Noche de Altares at the Fiesta Plaza in Downtown Santa Ana. A chance for our students and families to celebrate loved ones who have passed. At the same time a wonderful way of celebrating the cultural heritage of Mexico. We are very happy and proud to announce that our Santa Ana Suzuki Strings students have been invited to open the Irvine City Council Meeting with music! Date: Tuesday Sept. 8th Time: 4:30-5:30 Location: Irvine City Hall The students from this summer’s SASS program at OCCTAC have been invited to join their friends from the Talent Education Center: Suzuki Violin program under their Director Cynthia Faisst. This Saturday: The Latin Dance Festival!

Dear Friends! Just a reminder: this Saturday, June 13th at 7PM we will be fundraising and dancing at the Latin Dance Festival. Thank you if you have already sent your payment. Event Update: ORQUESTA CARIBE CONFIRMED AS LATIN DANCE FESTIVAL BAND!

We are really happy to announce that ORQUESTA CARIBE will play for us on June 13th! Orquesta Caribe was founded in 1972 by Musical Director Armando Gomez. Originally comprised of Cuban exiles who settled in Orange County, Orquesta Caribe now consists of eleven musicians who perform traditional Cuban and Puerto Rican music such as Salsa, Son, Bolero, Cha-Cha, Merengue, and Cumbia. Through its celebrated history, Orquesta Caribe has shared the stage with many of Latin Musics most famous musical stars including Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo, Oscar De Leon, Eddie Santiago, Albita and many others. The band is currently celebrating over thirty years as a mainstay in the Los Angeles and Orange County Latin music scene. They've been performing for countless Southern California audiences at many celebrated musical venues. OCCTAC Summer Camp Enrolling Now!

Dear Friends! Our week-long summer arts camps last year were such a success that we are offering them again for the summer of 2009, starting June 22nd until August 14th. Lisa Cohen has created brand new classes, for student groups ages 3 - 7 and ages 8 - 14, and show themes ranging from "Peter Pan" to "Hi School Musical".
