Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami Honored as Everyday Hero by Orange County Register

We are very proud to share the great news that our Founder and President, Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami, has been honored as an Everyday Hero by Everyday Heroes and Orange County Register.

Please see here the story from Orange County Register:

Everyday Heroes sponsor Fladeboe Automotive Group presented the Fladeboe Hero of the Year award, with President and CEO Denice Fladeboe giving the award to Dr. Ana Jimenez-Hami. As founder and executive director of Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center, Jimenez-Hami serves at-risk and special-needs children by providing music and arts programs.

Jimenez-Hami, who came from a humble background, is powered by the strong belief of her parents in the importance of a good education and giving back to the community. The tragic loss of both her parents was a catalyst to continue her education in their memory. Jimenez-Hami went on to receive a doctorate from USC.
Her center serves the needs more than 1,000 young people, and she receives no salary. As a tribute to this commitment, Fladeboe surprised Jimenez-Hami when she approached the stage to accept an award with a bonus gift: the choice of a new Volkswagen Jetta or Honda Civic.
Jimenez-Hami said she was humbled by the honor, then quickly shifted focus from herself to the children she serves.
"I try to remind a child who doesn't believe they can succeed in life, there's always a way," Jimenez-Hami said. "Where there's a will, there's a way.
